The Mercury 9.9 HP Outboard motor with Command Thrust delivers the power, thrust, and control that wider heavier boats demand. A 20 % larger prop increases control, a taller gearcase puts the prop deeper below turbulent water for improved performance. A low 2.42:1 gear ratio and high thrust propeller making the Mercury 9.9 outboard engine an excellent choice for sailboat and trolling/kicker applications. The BigFoot’s oversized anti-ventilation plate prevents air from being drawn into the propeller, further enhancing efficiency and performance. The 9.9 HP Mercury Outboard Motor model: 9.9EXLHPT-CT-PK is equipped with a long 20 inch shaft and electric start, auto ratchet tilt and trim and Mercury’s multi-function tiller handle which allows one-handed operation of F-N-R gear shifting, throttle and throttle tension, steering, and stopping.
